ANCESTRAL MEMORIES
“The INTERVIEW and the encounter are the basis of my creations. I began my journey bearing witness to the conditions of ELDERLY PEOPLE in a geriatric hospital in France and the importance of TESTIFY.
After five years in Quebec, I travelled to Argentina. I was welcomed by families in areas with a wide variety of cultures and traditions. I listened, observed and learned about a different relationship with SPACE and TIME, between the Western world that shaped me and the ancestral world that lives within me.
From this experience was born ENSUEÑOS (Daydreams), an immersive nomadic visual and sound installation that shares the unique relationship of ANCESTRAL COMMUNITIES with NATURE. By inviting local people from each territory to activate it, Ensueños creates a link between our cultures and highlights our living heritage.” S.F.
